Why I do what I do...

My full time job is a Montessori preschool teacher to 24 amazing little human beings. When I'm away from them I enjoy doing other things I love like photography or traveling the globe with my loved ones or doing yoga even though I'm the most inflexible person you'll ever meet.

Please continue to stop by and leave comments - I absolutely love reading them!

Other things I LOVE:

Dogs, especially my own.                Walking in puddles with my rain boots.     Candy.                My husband.        Converses.         Rain.       Black coffee.        Peace sign.           The smell of the air at 7am in September.          Elephant seals.           Red Skittles.         Dancing...everywhere.      Wedding dresses.           Weddings.        Babies' gummy smiles.        Peonies.        The sound of my email alert.          Rap.            Lavendar scented linen spray.         Science experiments.             Family.        Friends.        Me.

Baby Titan portraits

Whoa! Where the heck have I been?! I’ve been pretty busy with my personal life and moving and renovating, so when it came time to blog I kept pushing that aside. I really started missing it recently and realized it was the one thing that kept me kinda sane amidst a life full of chaos. So, here I am. Bloggidy blog blog blogging.

I’ve had a few baby portrait sessions and one big baby birthday party in the works, so I’ll be playing catch up this week and next week posting those pictures. This first one is with baby Titan who just turned one. Most of his portrait session was captured with Fujifilm, and I although the digital ones came out pretty nice (and MUCH easier to capture with a moving baby!) there is something about the film still that makes me not ever want to give it up.

This kid is seriously the cutest little boy; his face is so sweet and tender. When we first met he was a little shy and taken aback by the camera being in his face all the time; sorry, Titan! I guess it didn’t help that I kept screaming your name as if that’d make you smile. But we ended up meeting a second time to get some digital exposures since I happened to be in their neighborhood, and he totally opened up – laughing and dancing the entire time! If I weren’t such a complete stranger I totally would have hugged this kid all day. But ya… I’ll have to wait for my own baby to do that to. :-)

Awww, his parents have great taste in baby fashion.
